Explore Diverse Specialisations for Every Dimension of Architecture

Students gain multidisciplinary exposure across design, technology, sustainability, urban systems, and professional practice through progressive studio learning. Supported by specialised electives, the programme culminates in an Architectural Design Thesis where students address complex architectural and spatial challenges.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Computational Design

Focuses on digital design workflows, parametric modelling, BIM-led project delivery, data-driven planning, and advanced visualisation techniques used in contemporary architectural practice.

Sustainable & Resilient Architecture

Explores climate-responsive design, sustainable building systems, energy-efficient planning, passive strategies, and resilient architectural solutions for environmentally conscious development.

Urban Design & Planning

Introduces students to urban systems, public space design, infrastructure planning, housing, mobility, and GIS-based approaches for analysing and shaping cities.

Architectural Conservation & Heritage

Focuses on the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic structures through documentation, material conservation, heritage management, and culturally sensitive design practices.

Admission Details

Academic Qualification

•

A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Class 10+2/ HSC, with English as a compulsory subject:

* Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies.

(Minimum 45% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to the Reserved Category from Maharashtra State).
OR A minimum 60% aggregate marks in a 10+3 Diploma in Engineering & Technology with Mathematics from a government-approved technical board.
OR Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

Selection Process

Admissions (National and International) are based on the scores of JEE 2026 (B. Arch.), NATA 2026 conducted by the Council of Architecture along with a 500-word Statement of Purpose (SOP) written by the candidate.

MIT-WPU offers multiple scholarship opportunities to encourage deserving students and support academic achievement, creativity, and sports excellence.

Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship:
This scholarship provides a 100% fee waiver for the entire duration of the Programme and is applicable for 5% of the total students’ intake. (Subject to the fulfilment of conditions mentioned under the respective policy).

MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship I:
These scholarships are provided at the rate of 50% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme, up to 10% of the total students’ intake. (Subject to the fulfilment of conditions mentioned under the respective policy).

MIT-WPU Merit Scholarship II:
These scholarships are provided at the rate of 25% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up to 12% of the total students’ intake. (Subject to the fulfilment of conditions mentioned under the respective policy).

Scholarship to Elite Sportsman

These scholarships are awarded to deserving sports persons based on their participation/winning prizes at Nationally/internationally recognized sports competitions/events. Any candidate who participates/wins a medal at west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level, while representing MIT-WPU or playing for any Govt. sponsored/ Govt. recognized official sports organization (IOA, BCCI, etc.); in any nationally/ internationally recognized sporting event; in individual or team sports; would be eligible for the following scholarship for the remaining period of the Programme, only if he/she participates and wins a medal on the National/International Level.
