Dr. Krishna Keshavrao Warhade, Prof. & Director Doctoral Programme. He is an accomplished educator and researcher, with over 27 years of experience in teaching and research. He completed his Ph.D. with specialization in communications and signal processing from IIT Bombay and currently serves as a Professor at School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune.

To Know

1. What kind of research environment does MIT-WPU offer?

MIT-WPU's Ph.D. programmes emphasise research-intensive learning, interdisciplinary research, expert faculty guidance, research methodology, literature review, research ethics, research publications and access to research facilities, depending on the discipline.

2. Can I pursue interdisciplinary research?

Yes. Interdisciplinary research is a stated focus across MIT-WPU's Ph.D. programmes, encouraging scholars to explore innovative ideas and address complex problems across fields.

3. What is the minimum duration of the Ph.D. programme?

The Ph.D. programme has a minimum duration of 3 years, including coursework.

4. What are the eligibility requirements?

Candidates generally require the applicable Master's qualification with at least 55% aggregate marks, subject to the eligibility criteria and applicable relaxations.

5. Is there an entrance test?

Eligible candidates are required to appear for the MIT-WPU Ph.D. Entrance Test, unless exempted under the applicable criteria.

6. What does the Ph.D. entrance test cover?

The test consists of 50% Research Methodology and 50% subject-specific content.

7. How are candidates selected?

Selection gives 70% weightage to the entrance test and 30% to the interview, subject to the applicable criteria.

8. Are there exemptions from the entrance test?

Candidates with qualifying GATE / NET / JRF / SET / GPAT / CEED credentials may be considered through the applicable Interview route.

9. Are full-time Ph.D. scholars eligible for a stipend?

Full-time Ph.D. scholars may receive a stipend as per MIT-WPU norms.

10. What research areas can I pursue?
